While they are primarily for commercial customers, there are no access restrictions for everyday consumers.

Trade specialist Kate Andrews works at Bunnings Morwell in Victoria, assisting trade customers. Ms. Andrews has been in the role for almost two years, having returned to Bunnings after previously working for the brand for seven and a half years as a front-end supervisor. As a trade specialist, she said the most important part of her job is building relationships with trade customers. These customers are defined as those who have a PowerPass card, which requires them to be trade professionals and hold a valid ABN.
Along with dedicated support from trade specialists like Ms. Andrews, PowerPass cards come with a range of benefits, including discounts on products, access to hire trade-quality equipment, and access to exclusive events. Ms. Andrews plans a range of events for trade customers, such as monthly BBQ breakfasts, 'Pie Day Friday' where they offer free pies, parties, and sausage rolls, Tradie Hydration Stations on hot days, Fathers' Day Raffles, Christmas hampers for her top 10 PowerPass customers, and a range of other exclusive activities. Over the past 12 months, Bunnings has held 3440 free tradie BBQs across Australia and New Zealand, which have seen 206,400 bacon and egg rolls given away to tradies.
But it's not just about the services and events. Bunnings is also rolling out a dedicated aisle of workwear for tradies this month, including apparel, undergarments, work boots, and shoes. This is the first time many stores will be offering workwear for trades, with over 1000 new products being added and promoting a conscious shift towards offering a range for both men and women.
