Amazon's live-action adaptation of God of War is hitting it out of the park with its casting choices. The series has secured the return of Mimir actor Alastair Duncan, who previously voiced the character in the 2018 game and its sequel, Ragnarök. Additionally, the talented duo of Danny Woodburn and Jeff Gulka have been cast as the beloved blacksmith brothers, Brok and Sindri. Woodburn, a seasoned actor with a fantasy series resume, is best known for his role as Mickey Abbott in Seinfeld. Gulka, on the other hand, brings his X-Files and Stargate-SG1 experience to the table. The characters of Mimir, Brok, and Sindri are intriguing, each with their own distinct personalities and backstories. Mimir, a witty and intellectual figure, was once an advisor to Odin but was banished to a tree trunk. Brok, a legendary dwarven blacksmith, is brash and irreverent, in stark contrast to his uptight brother, Sindri, who is neurotic and germophobic. The series also boasts a strong supporting cast, including Ryan Hurst as Kratos, Teresa Palmer as Phoebe/Sif, Max Parker as Heimdall, Mandy Patinkin as Odin, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as the Norse God of Thunder, Thor. With a second season already greenlit, Amazon's God of War is shaping up to be a must-watch series, offering a fresh take on the beloved video game franchise.
