Neon Doctrine's Co-Founders Launch Goldpact Goblins: A Developer Services Firm
The co-founders of Neon Doctrine, Vladislav Tsopljak and Iain Garner, are back with a new venture, Goldpact Goblins, offering a unique approach to developer services. After Neon Doctrine's acquisition by Raw Fury, the duo is now providing "clever, practical, and inventive strategies" to small and midsize developers, free from revenue share.
Based in Singapore, Goldpact Goblins has already secured development deals with six developers across China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Korea. The company's focus is on helping developers overcome their challenges, offering tailored solutions in community management, marketing, social media, production, business development, focus testing, QA, branding, and strategy.
One of the key differentiators is their non-traditional approach. Unlike traditional publishers, Goldpact Goblins does not take revenue share or offer funding. "We want to provide a sustainable model that helps the local industry grow and allows developers to retain their rights and profits," explains Tsopljak. This approach aims to address the issues faced by developers in Southeast Asia, China, and South America, where revenue splits and recoup models often lead to developers receiving a small slice of the pie months after the game's release.
The firm's Chinese office draws inspiration from Neon Doctrine's experience in Taiwan, where they navigated complex geopolitical relationships. Goldpact Goblins' international team is dedicated to supporting developers worldwide, with a particular emphasis on China due to its strong roots in the region. However, they are open to assisting developers in other markets as well, ensuring a global reach.
The name 'Goblins' reflects the founders' hardworking and resourceful nature, as well as their passion for hands-on involvement in game development. Goldpact Goblins aims to provide practical solutions and guidance to developers, regardless of their funding status or specific needs.
